Spare Parts Inventory Management: A Literature Review

Spare parts are held as inventory to support product maintenance in order reduce downtime and extend the lifetime of products. Recently, spare management has been attracting more attention due “right-to-repair” movement which requires that manufacturers provide sufficient throughout life-cyle their products waste so achieve sustainability. In this review, 148 papers regarding published from 2010 2020 examined. The studies classified based on two groups perspectives. first group includes characteristics parts, products, systems, supply chains, while second focuses research methodologies topics reviewed studies. novelty literature review is three-fold. Firstly, we focus analyzing chain structure different networks for managing parts. Secondly, classify current analytics techniques, i.e., descriptive analytics, predictive prescriptive analytics.
